Tokuthu Otuguro of Japan defeated him in the men's 65 kg Weight Kanti final by 16-9. However, despite this defeat, he managed to make the record.

The journey to the final
Earlier, Bajrang had defeated Cuban Alejandro Valdes Tobier 4-2 in the semi-finals. In this match, he was leading 4-1 at a time, but the Cuban player put the Indian player in trouble in the last 4-3.

Bajrang, however, retained his position in some way by entering the final. On the other hand, Japanese player in the semi-finals defeated Russian wrestler Achnid Chakravure 15-10.
