The OnePlus Nord may not be the only affordable OnePlus smartphone to be launched in 2020 as the company is working on two more affordable Nord alternatives. There are reportedly two phones codenamed ‘Billie 1’ and ‘Billie 2’ that OnePlus is working on that may be launched this year and are expected to cost less than the Nord, as per a report by PhoneArena.
Having said that there is no official word from OnePlus regarding the same. As for the hardware, the upcoming OnePlus phones are expected to be powered by mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon processors and one of the phones can come with the Snapdragon 690 processor.
The budget OnePlus phone may come with multiple cameras along with punch hole displays featuring single-lens selfie cameras. The report speculates that the budget OnePlus phones may be launched at 199 Euro and 299 Euro or in the price range of between Rs 18,000 and Rs 24,000.
OnePlus will most like launch phones with a minimum of 6GB of RAM and without any support for external memory cards. Not to forget, OnePlus will be offering these phones with the latest Android operating system along with the promise of future Android updates and security fixes.
Meanwhile, the new OnePlus Nord caters to the mid-premium segment with Rs 25,000 to Rs 30,000 price range. OnePlus Nord runs OxygenOS10.5 based on Android 10 and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G 5G processor with Adreno620 GPU. As for the cameras, the Nord features a 48MP Sony IMX586 main sensor with OIS, EIS, f/1.75 aperture along with three secondary sensors of 8MP, 2MP and 5MP. There’s Dual LED flash, multi autofocus(PDAF+CAF).
