When one of the participants in the call chooses to share his/her screen, the other person would be able to see the entire screen of the Android smartphone on the other side. When you decide to share the screen, the camera stream of the person on the other end of the call will get minimised to the bottom left corner and the stream capturing your own face will disappear, being replaced by your smartphone screen.
Google already has a screen-sharing feature on Google Meet but with a support for 250 members in a group call, it is generally used for business and work purposes. Google has made available the Google Meet app for smartphones. If you have to connect via your laptop or workstation, you need to first go to your Gmail account to access Google Meet and then add people from there. Google Duo, on the other hand, is a comparatively informal tool for video calling where you can add up to 12 people in a group call.
Google Duo is the latest video calling application to add screen sharing. Microsoft Skype has had this feature for quite a long time now. Recently, Facebook also added screen sharing to its Messenger app. However, the feature was added for both Android and iOS platforms. It is not confirmed yet as to when Google Duo will get screen sharing feature on the iPhone.
