WhatsApp, the instant messaging platform is always working on adding new features to its app — for both Android and iOS. But the company also provides its platform on the web and routinely keeps introducing new enhancements to that too.
In one such case, WhatsApp has released a new web version 2.2037.6 of the WhatsApp Web platform, claims a report by WABetaInfo. In this update, the company is set to roll out new buttons for voice, video and group calls. The report, however, claims that WhatsApp is still working on developing these features, therefore they are under development stage and not yet available to users on WhatsApp Web and Desktop update.
Other than this, this update comes with traces for a new loading screen with a new label “indicating that the process is end-to-end encrypted.”
Lastly, the Facebook owned-platform is working on new icons for the attachment menu. These icons will be officially visible in a new update, added the report.
Last month, WABetaInfo also reported that WhatsApp is redesigning icons on WhatsApp Android app as well. The report claimed that the app has now a revamped Location icon. Not only that, the app has also brought back the Camera icon that was replaced by a shortcut for Rooms, the recently-launched video conferring platform from the company.
