OnePlus’ next flagship smartphone is set to make its debut on October 14. As is the case with OnePlus phones, the leaks and rumours have started to gather momentum with the launch date coming close. However, apart from leaks and rumours, some specifications of the upcoming OnePlus 8T 5G have been confirmed by the company as well.
OnePlus has taken to Twitter to reveal that the upcoming OnePlus 8T 5G will feature 65W Warp charging tech. “Fast. FASTER. 𝗪𝗔𝗥𝗣𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗥𝗚𝗘𝟲𝟱! We keep pushing the boundaries of what’s possible so you can too,” reads the tweet posted by OnePlus. The tweet also features a short video clip, which reveals that the OnePlus 8T will give a day’s power in just 15 minutes.

According to a report by PCMag, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has said that the OnePlus 8T 5G will charge from 0-100 in just about 40 minutes, thanks to the 65W Warp charging tech. According to OnePlus, the upcoming OnePlus 8T will take 10 minutes to charge 40%, 15 minutes to charge 58% and 100% battery will be charged in 39 minutes only.
Interestingly, another BBK-owned brand Oppo claims to boast of 65W Super VOOC charging tech that charges a phone completely in 35 minutes. Lau didn’t reveal if both Oppo and OnePlus use the same tech but told PCMag that “Both our Warp Charge and Oppo’s 65W Super VOOC Fast Charge 2.0 are high amperage and low voltage solutions,” said Lau.
It has also been revealed the OnePlus 8T will be the first phone from the company to feature Type-C at both ends of the charger and the cable.
